Action Pillars

The activity of the Development Organization "KAPODISTRIAKI DEVELOPMENT S.A." focuses on 9 Axes of Action, characterized as high priority based on the strategic directions of the Municipalities - Shareholders, and the priority axes that have been set in the Multiannual Financial Framework 2021-2027 and the Regulations of the Structural and Investment Funds of the EU.

Tourism-Extroversion

Actions for the promotion of the Municipality of Central Corfu & the Diapontian Islands and the Municipality of Paxos as destinations of multiple uses and possibilities throughout the year are included in the "Tourism - Extroversion" Action Pillar. In addition, actions are included for the enrichment and upgrading of the individual tourism products that are developed in the administrative boundaries of the two Municipalities and for the wider strengthening of their extroversion.

Entrepreneurship-Investments

The Action Pillar "Entrepreneurship - Investments" concerns the multifaceted support of business and investment activity within the Municipality of Central Corfu & the Diapontian Islands and the Municipality of Paxos, the identification and highlighting of investment opportunities and the utilization of all available tools - financial and institutional - for attracting investment, stimulating entrepreneurship, employment, innovation and extroversion.

Health

The Action Pillar "Health" concerns the implementation of actions to improve the level of public health within the Municipality of Central Corfu & the Diapontian Islands and the Municipality of Paxos, the support of the prevention and timely treatment of health risks, the promotion of well-being and healthy standards of life.

Culture-Sports-Education

The Action Pillar "Culture - Sports - Education" consists of actions to highlight the cultural product of the Municipality of Central Corfu & Diapontian Islands and the Municipality of Paxos, to strengthen sports events and events and to support the development of new infrastructure, to strengthen the activities of education, training and certification of the skills of employees and the unemployed.

Human-social policy

The Action Pillar "People - Social Policy" includes actions to strengthen social cohesion and solidarity, to attract and implement European social care programs and to support and empower young people, the unemployed and vulnerable social groups.

Environment-Quality of life

The Action Pillar "Environment - Quality of Life" aims to upgrade and strengthen the actions to deal with the consequences of climate change, the promotion of "green" development and the protection and sustainable management of the natural and urban environment of the Municipality of Central Corfu & Diapontian Islands and the Municipality of Paxos.

Digital era

The Action Pillar "Digital Age" aims to strengthen and expand the digital presence of the Municipality of Central Corfu & the Diapontian Islands and the Municipality of Paxos and the digital services they provide to citizens and businesses, the promotion of high technology, and the development and dissemination of networks and "smart cities" applications.

Transportation

The Action Pillar "Transportation" includes actions to strengthen road safety and improve traffic conditions within the Municipality of Central Corfu & Diapontia Islands and the Municipality of Paxos, to boost sustainable urban mobility and reduce the "footprint" of the transport sector. transportation.

Technical service

Kapodistriaki Development S.A., the Development Organization of the Municipality of Central Corfu & Diapontian Islands and the Municipality of Paxos, within the framework of its responsibilities, provides to the Municipalities and Regions, inside and outside Corfu and Paxos, to the agencies and their associations, as well as to Legal Entities of Public and Private Law, of the wider public sector, scientific, consulting and technical support services.

The Technical Service of Kapodistriaki Development S.A., created for this purpose, undertakes:

• the drafting of tender documents

• the preparation of files

• the supervision and monitoring of the implementation of technical projects
